How the Leveraging Clamp came to be.

The initial design goal was this: how to securely mount an object on to the lip of a finished shelf or the edge of a beautiful desk without damaging the surface. It needed to hold firm, resist pivoting, and stay stable even if the weight shifted.

Extensive experimentation led to this simple bit effective design. Recognizing its uniqueness, a utility patent application was filed.   In a rare outcome, all 30 original claims were granted by the USPTO on the very first submission.  This is quite remarkable since the patent examination process is known for repeated rejection.

A variety of prototypes, made from metal and synthetic materials, have demonstrated its versatility as a clamp and a mount.   Now, this innovative design can be applied to a variety of needs in different industries.  Licensing rights are available for manufacturers.
